Do I need an internet connection at the beach to open the lock?

Once you have completed the booking, you no longer need an internet connection. You can also use the app offline. The Bluetooth connection between your smartphone and the lock opens it automatically.

Is the app needed to close the lock?

No, the lock can be closed by hand.

What are the payment methods at the beach to open the lock?

You can pay by SEPA direct debit, bank transfer, credit card, “Sofortüberweisung”, PayPal, Klarna, Giropay, ApplePay and GooglePay. The payment methods SEPA direct debit and bank transfer are only possible with early booking.

Are there alternatives to the BeachNow app if I don't have a smartphone?

Yes, there is the possibility to get a chip for the beach chair on site at your beach chair rental company.

What happens to the booking when my smartphone runs out of battery?

Your booking does not expire. It is best to contact the beach chair rental company on site. You will then receive a chip to open the beach chair.

How much does a beach chair cost per day?

The prices for a beach chair vary depending on the location and are set by the respective beach chair rental company. As a rule, a beach chair costs 9-20€ per day.

Do I need to register to use the app?

Yes, the best way to use BeachNow is to have an account. This is necessary for the use of the app and so you can book your favorite beach chair online in advance and then just open and enjoy it on site.
